Apple launched iTunes plus over a year ago coach purses outlet , offering higher quality DRM-Free tracks through their iTunes store. For those of you who aren’t familiar with iTunes Plus, you’re probably asking what this means and perhaps even wondering how it will affect your iTunes music library. Well nike high heels , the basics are pretty simple and it probably won’t make much of a difference to the music you’ve already purchased through iTunes. That is, of course, unless you plan to upgrade. Let’s take a look at what iTunes Plus is and what it would mean to upgrade your music collection.
First of all, with iTunes Plus all the music tracks are DRM-free and feature 256 kbps AAC encoding for extremely high quality audio. In fact, Apple claims that this new format makes the tracks “virtually indistinguishable from the original recordings.” DRM stands for “digital rights management,” so the new tracks no longer have restrictions when it comes to converting the files to different formats for use on non-Apple devices, and there’s also no limit on the number of computers you can play your purchased songs on. This offers a much greater degree of flexibility when it comes to how you use the music you’ve purchased.
Some people might not have taken notice of these new changes, but everyone who’s used to purchasing 99-cent tracks has most certainly noticed that as of April 2009 all their favorite songs have a brand new price: $1.29. This might not seem like much, but paying a 30% premium for DRM-free tracks and higher quality audio can certainly add up fast when you’re the type of person who buys several albums at a time.
So here’s the big question: do you upgrade all the existing tracks you’ve collected in your iTunes library over the past several years? It’s easy enough to do with a “one-click option,” but before you click, you might want to consider these pros and cons:
Price
It will cost you 30 cents to upgrade each track, or $3 per album. If you have, say, 200 albums in iTunes that could cost you a hefty $600!
Audio Quality
The older version tracks are already 128 kbps format, which produces very high quality audio. You might want to compare the 256 kbps and 128 kbps side-by-side before you pay big bucks to convert your whole collection to see if you even notice a difference. Most people don’t!
Compatibility
Do you have a new audio system or other device or application that doesn’t support AAC? If you’re a Windows person, it’s important to know that Windows Media Player isn’t compatible with the AAC format. With the new DRM-free tracks you can easily convert the files to MP3 format and won’t have to worry about compatibility issues.
Quality vs. Quantity
What’s more important to you, quality or quantity? You can fit twice as many 128 kbps files on your iPod as the 256 kbps files, and if you want all your music to fit in your pocket you might have a big reason to stick to the smaller files. The newest iPod shuffle with 4GB of storage holds 1000 songs – but only 500 if they’re the new 256 kbps files.
A year ago when Apple launched iTunes Plus vibram five fingers shoes , you still had the option of buying the lower quality format for a cheaper price. Now, like it or not, we all have to pay a little bit more for our favorite iTunes songs. But we do have an option when it comes to the tracks we already own. So, are YOU going to upgrade?

iTunes Plus Is the Upgrade Worth It
Metric is all blonde amibition and energy at the Crystal
Oregon Music News
by Chris Young on December 9, 2009
Emily Haines led Toronto’s Metric to “Gold Guns Girls” at the Crystal
Collected and dark and ambient, Metric meandered the Crystal Ballroom’s blue stage with cool charm and Emily Haines’ sexy, exhaling voice on “Twilight Galaxy” to open the night.
And in a flash, spotlights blinded the antsy audience as the bass-y coach handbags outlet , downtempo synths built and transformed into Haines rowdily headbanging over her keys. The people were ready and the energy never dipped for the entire night.
You could feel Haines breathe as her vocal effects echoed in waves across the bouncing floor as bodies bounded to the claps of Haines’ tambourine on “Help I’m Alive.” Metric rioted through a 90 minute set focusing mainly on tracks from their most recent album Fantasies (released in April).
All amazing musicians, the band played tight and flawlessly throughout, but I was absolutely fixated on Haines. The rest of the performers didn’t even matter in my mind as her fist pumping and incessant bouncing captivated–like an incandescent firefly whirring about in her chameleon-sequined dress that changed from plum to crimson to obsidian under the lights.
Synths rose and fell, sirens blared while Haines tossed her blonde locks dominating the stage with proper talent and poise. She strapped on a guitar on “Gold Guns Girls” and the entire crew wailed real high on the frets burning through “Satellite Mind,” “Sick Muse,” and “Stadium Love.”
Veteran Metric fans were treated to “Poster of a Girl,” the tambourine wielding “Empty five finger shoes ,” and a bouncy abercrombie outlet , dance-y “Dead Disco.”

Where are Beats for Sale
So you’re looking for free hip hop beats or hip hop beats for sale huh? Well, I’m going to be honest with you. Anything ‘free’ is not quality. What I have found with a lot of artists is that they don’t understand that artists have to learn to invest in themselves.
No record deal just all of a sudden falls in your lap. Ask some of the top musicians in the world. Maybe a couple out of hundreds had a lucky break where they didn’t have to invest in themselves. But most artists had to put money into their craft whether it be paying for tracks, fliers to promote yourself, studio time, outfits, etc. There’s no way around it because no one is going to hand it to you. So get out of trying to find ‘free’ beats. If they’re ‘free’, chances are they are not quality beats. So why cut yourself short? This is your career, your life. You have to hustle, grind and work. Whatever you put in, you get in return. So to my fellow artists…stop looking for a free ride.
I’m equally tired of producers trying to beat your head with a bat with high prices. One thing I find as an advantage is when a producer knows you as an artist and sees you grinding and promoting your music, they want you to have their music because it’s free promotion for them.
They imagine that you are performing their music to a different audience. If the audience loves your music, they’ll ask you about and in return, you tell them who did the beat…which leads to more clients for the producer. So get to know the producer, network with them. Let them know what projects you are working on. Be excited and enthusiastic so they would want to take a part of it. If they believe in you, they will cut you breaks and maybe even give you…you guessed it free hip hop beats! Or if they won’t be free, they may just give you a few hip hop beats for sale. I now have producers that don’t charge me anything and give me free hip hop beats because they know once my songs are complete, they are going straight to the radio which is great promotion for the producer.

There’s no doubt that learning to play the piano in a group situation is fast becoming the most popular way to learn. There are many advantages to using this system, especially for the pupils who enrol in such courses. Probably the main advantage for the pupil is, you are not alone, there are many like minded people with you all aiming for the same thing and because of the nature of learning to play the piano there is no element of competitiveness but rather a positive I can do this attitude and the fact that others are with you learning the same thing is extremely liberating in that the pressure of learning to play is reduced dramatically and absorbed by the whole group rather than on one individual learning one to one.
Normally in a group situation, up to 12 pupils will attend each provided with their own piano, these are normally electric so as to make use of headphones. Some courses also offer a communication system that can isolate each pupil privately via headphones.

How to read drum notation
So you want to learn how to read drum music? Reading drum music is actually pretty simple if you just know how to get started. Many people will buy a drum book with high hopes, will have trouble with the first page or two, then give up. When I first started playing drums that was me, but I have something to share… You can learn how to read drum notation well, if you take these three simple tips to heart.
Learn how to count. We’ve all seen sesame street, but I’m talking about learning the relationship between quarter notes, eighth notes, eighth note triplets, and sixteenth notes. Half notes, whole notes, and quarter note triplets aren’t nearly as common in drum music, so I suggest to start with these. Start by counting quarter notes on the high-hat in 4/4 (four beats and the quarter note gets the beat) 1,2,3,4. Next count eighth notes out loud while still playing quarters on the hi hat.. 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and (2 eighth notes= 1 quarter). The counting device for eighth note triplets is 1 and a, 2 and a, 3 and a, 4 and a ( 3= one quarter). Lastly the counting device for sixteenth notes is 1 e and a, 2 e and a, 3 e and a, 4 e and a (4= one quarter). The smallest subdivision should determine the counting device you use. For instance if there is a beat with two eighth notes and the rest quarters, you should count eighth notes… 1 and, 2 and, 3 and, 4 and.
There should be a section in your book that has a graphic that shows what the notes look like. Quarter notes are composed of a black circle with a stem that goes vertical. Eighth notes are made up of two of these, which are connected by a horizontal line at the top. Eighth note triplets are composed the same way, but they have 3 notes instead of 2. They also have a 3 above the group of notes, either with brackets or without. Sixteenth notes have four notes that are connected. The way they are easily distinguished is by having two horizontal lines instead of one.
Look at the key at the front or back of the book for where each drum/cymbal is on the staff. I can get you started in this article. The x’s above the top line on the staff are the hi-hats. A little bit south of that in the middle of that top line is the ride. The snare drum is located on the middle space of the staff. The last of the simple symbols is the bass drum, which is located on the bottom space of the staff. Some drum books vary slightly but this is the most common. So now that we know how to read drum notation we might want to get some drum lessons online to progress to the next level.
